Upper Torso Mold Part 2



This is the underside of the mold after the first half of the mold has been poured.





In this photo, the cardboard build-up has been removed, leaving the clay and wax pellets that held it in place.





In this photo, the clay build-up around the neck has been removed. I used a SurForm tool to square up the outside edges of the mold.





Here, the first half of the mold has been cleaned-up, and the other halves of the arm socket clay build-up and the other half of the clay build-up for the spare has been added. Note that registration keys have been carved into the plaster. Even though the neck piece is probably enough of a registration key, I still like to make a few more.
