After making a masking tape dress form of the WIP wax torso of Aalish, the next thing to do is to use it to make a set of slopers or blocks for making clothing. Like everything else that I'm doing with my doll, such as making a wig, or making shoes, making clothes is a subject for research and experiments. I've already found a couple of good book titles to look for. There are also videos and tutorials on websites on the Internet.

A sloper is a basic set of patterns that fit like a second skin. This basic set consists of a Bodice (Front and Back), a sleeve, and a Skirt (Front and Back). There are specific measurements that are taken from the doll, or the dress form, and these measurements are transferred to paper in order to make a two dimensional pattern of the three dimensional form. Anyway, it looks like a lot of fun!
