08 Joint Design Nº 64

I am carving out the right shoulder socket on the torso. I start by tracing around a 40mm matte board cut out with the point of a skew tool. Click on any image to enlarge it.

I am going to start at the hole I drilled and carve most of the socket out with my paring knife. Then I will finish carving up to the line I inscribed with a 7mm gouge tool.

This is the right shoulder socket, carved out to the inscribed line.

The right arm fits into the shoulder socket.

The right and left arms fit into the shoulder sockets of the torso.
