08 Joint Design Nº 149
I am working on the left hip socket of the lower torso. First, I remove the matte board ring with my paring knife. It does not come off in one piece. Click on any image to enlarge it.
I use some scrap carving wax pieces to fill in the socket hole.
I tack a 70mm matte board circle over the right socket hole.
I will try to position the left 70mm matte board circle template in exactly the same position as the right socket. Then I will scribe a line around it. I will use my wax pen and paring knife to make a new 70mm socket on the left. I am hoping this new socket will work better.
