08 Joint Design Nº 155

This is a work-in-progress shot of cutting the right leg at the knee with an X-Acto knife. I make many passes around the leg. I make the cut with the leg on an old pillow. I hold the lower leg with my left hand, and I cut with my right hand. When the leg gets cut through, the upper leg falls on the pillow, not the floor. Click on any image to enlarge it.

This is a shot of the leg cut all the way through. Yay !!!

This is a top view shot of the lower legs knee joints.

This is a shot of the upper legs knee joints. I supported the upper legs in a couple of styrofoam cups. Even though my studio looks like a junk shop, I actually use some of that stuff every once in a while.

Here are the carving wax legs, cut at the knees. There is still a lot of work to do, but at least the cut has been made.
