08 Joint Design Nº 201




From left to right, in the photo below; I position the matte board ring on the socket end of the right lower carving wax leg, I use the wax pen to tack it into place, I use the wax pen to fill in around the ring on one side, and again on the other side. Click on any image to enlarge it.






I use my paring knife to carve out the inside of the socket, I add more carving wax to fill in a thin area, and I test fit the carving wax ankle ball as I am working.






The lower right carving wax leg and the right foot with the carving wax ankle ball. The ball needs to be lowered into the foot, just like on the left foot.
