08 Joint Design Nº 238

I am going to fill the hole in the head that I made in order to pour the neck socket. I am using a carving wax spare from one of the cast balls as a filler plug. Click on any image to enlarge it.

I use my paring knife to carve the spare into a cylinder that fits snug in the hole.

I heat up the wax pen and put the filler plug in the hole.

I work around the filler plug with the wax pen, trying to weld the head to the filler plug. Then I cut the excess off with the knife, and make sure everything is welded.

I use my paring knife to trim the carving wax filler plug down to the surface of the head.
