08 Joint Design Nº 337

I worked on the lower left carving wax leg today. I used my paring knife to shape the back of the leg, trying to make it smoother. Click on any image to enlarge it.

When I am shaving carving wax with my paring knife, there is a slight static charge to the thin shavings. I simply use my thumb to press the carving wax shavings against the blade of the knife very once in awhile. When the pressed shavings pile up on the blade, I scrape them off into my carving wax scrap container. This way, I do not have to deal with statically charged carving wax shavings clinging to everything.
