08 Joint Design Nº 386

I use my wax pen to fill in low spots with scrap carving wax. Next, I use my paring knife to shave the excess filler off. Then I use the sanding block to smooth where I subtracted carving wax..

This is a snapshot after shaving the excess off, and sanding with the coarse, then finer grades of sanding blocks.

The actual work is practice, practice and more practice: adding, subtracting, and smoothing repeatedly. ~ Martha Armstrong-Hand (1920-2004)
