08 Joint Design Nº 466

I worked more on the carving wax lower torso. This is a before snapshot. Click on any image to enlarge it.

Adding with the wax pen.

Subtracting with the paring knife.

Smoothing with 100-grit sandpaper. This is an after snapshot. Sometimes it looks like I make more work for myself than I started out with.

The actual work is practice, practice and more practice: adding, subtracting, and smoothing repeatedly. ~ Martha Armstrong-Hand (4 July 1920 - 22 October 2004
