09 Plaster Production Molds Nº 42

I worked some more on the oil-clay build-up for the left carving wax foot. I rolled out a slab of oil-clay, 3/4ths of an inch thick using a rolling pin and two pieces of 3/4 inch thick wood. I cut it to size with a ruler and a knife. I made a cardboard template. I used the template to transfer the foot shape to the oil-clay slab. I used a fettling knife to cut the shape out. I still need to fill-in around the foot. I also need to cut a couple of registration keys. Click on the image to enlarge it.
