09 Plaster Production Molds Nº 98

Today I cut the spare. I started out by drawing the outline of the spare on the mold with a pencil. Click on any image to enlarge it.

When I carve the spare, I start by carving the ends, and I carve down to the curved lines.

Then I carve out the middle to the straight lines. The trick is to work slowly, and carve a little bit at a time. I use my paring knife to do this.

From time to time, I put the mold halves together, to see how I am doing.
