09 Plaster Production Molds Nº 250

I was running out of clay, so I borrowed some from the build-up. This part of the build-up will be up against a coddle board anyway, so it doesn't matter so much. I rolled the borrowed clay into a coil and cut it into more or less equal lengths. I usually hold a coil in my hand as I am working, so it warms up as I am working. Then I can cut off a small piece with my paring knife and apply it to the build-up. Click on any image to enlarge it.

This is a snapshot of the work-in-progress clay build-up of the upper torso.
