09 Plaster Production Molds Nº 279

I am pouring the right arm socket first, so I apply the parting agent to the plaster there. I do one half of the mold at a time. That way, I am sure to get a good coating of parting agent over the whole surface that come into contact with the fresh plaster. Click on any image to enlarge it.

Remember: Plaster sticks to plaster.

I secure the mold to the molding table because I will be using the mold table vibrator when I pour the plaster. Always add plaster to water.

The poured plaster contained in the oil clay coddle. I only saw one small leak which did not go very far. I put the excess plaster into the lined trash bin. I washed the mixing container, tools, and my hands in the 5-gallon bucket of water. Never put plaster (dry, set, or wet) down the drain pipes.
