09 Plaster Production Molds Nº 288

I removed the coddles from the mold and cleaned up the oil clay and put it away. Click on any image to enlarge it.

I used a small hammer and my paring knife to open the mold along the seam line.

After removing the carving wax skull cap, I used a pencil to mark the lines for the spare.

I beveled all the edges with the SurForm tool. I cut the spare with the paring knife.

This mold is ready to be banded and set aside to dry.

I banded the mold with some acrylic yard and set it in the corner of the studio near the furnace with the other molds to dry.
