09 Plaster Production Molds Nº 293

I finished working on the oil clay build-up. I placed the pattern and build-up on the molding table, then clamped the coddles around it. I secured the coddles to the molding table with coils of oil clay. Click on the image to enlarge it.

Arithmetic:

# Total volume of water in cubic inches
5*6.5*2.25
73.125 cu.in.

# 2/3 total amount of water for mix
73.125*.67
48.99375 cu.in.

# cups of water (one cup = 14.44 cu.in.)
48.99375 / 14.44
3.39291 cups

# 8 ounces of water in one cup, by weight
3.39291 * 8
27.14328 ounces

# one part by weight
27.14328/2
13.57164 ounces

# 2 to 3 ratio of water to plaster by weight
13.5 * 2
